"Grace Brothers unfair to salespersons!"

My tendency for 70s-80s British comedies has finally rubbed off on Kimo. Watching a whole series of 'Are You Being Served?' the other day, I relished the TV sit-com I had grown up watching, not realizing that Mrs. Slocombe's hesitance to stay overtime at work so she could go home and 'feed her pussy' might have an undesirable effect on Kimo. Thankfully, at the tender age of soon-to-be 6 years, the reference to the feline is nothing. What I should have been more mindful of is the impact of seeing grown-ups protesting on a roof-top, painting angry red letters on the building, shouting how their employer's been unfair regarding their pay-cut, and so on. As I try to contemplate on whether to launch on a discussion of the whys of child-like adult behavior, Kimo suddenly stops chanting the above slogan, and asks, "What's a salesperson?". "Well, what do you think it means?", I say. "A person like a shopkeeper?". Phew, discussion averted! And I think, safe for me to look for another series of AYBS at the library for this weekend's entertainment! Happy weekend to all!

Hi, I love that TV movie, 'are you being served'...British comedy are much more down to earth vs American ones.

Incidentally, if nothing better to do, check out on Youtube this Canadian made TV sitcom comedy series...produced, directed by a Canadian Muslim lady.
It is hilarious!
All about the misunderstandings or stereotyping of Muslims blowing up whatever.

Suggest if you do, check out the beginning, part 1.
You have a nice day, and keep a song in your heart.
Best regards.
Lee.
